Time for a new game! Can you beat the computer at this variation of a popular 4 in a row game?
Good luck mathematicians!
Ignore the little yellow arrow, you wouldn't go there would you?
Hint: what would happen if you put your next yellow piece in the 4th column from the left?

Now that you've had a little time to play, let's apply our maths skills to look at some basic strategy.
You're playing against red. Where would you go next? In this game yellow has created a simple 'two-way trap', ie they have placed the counters in such a way that they can use red's blocking move in one line to form a second winning line on the next play. Can you see how it works? For this week's challenge, try creating some 'two-way traps' of your own. You may even like to share them with your friends, or simply use them to challenge your parents to a 'friendly' game. Good luck! |
